Job Opportunity: Business Analyst
My clients company specializes in the Fintech sector. Their system is currently the fastest-growing solution in the market, and banks and credit unions of all sizes rely on them. They are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join their team in Cork.
The Role: The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving through design and possess effective communication skills to convey solutions clearly and concisely.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist business stakeholders in translating their requirements into functional specifications, ensuring clear understanding, documentation, and agreement on business needs.
- Support and manage a formal change management process related to application changes.
- Contribute to the delivery of business changes to applications, including analysis, design, development, testing, and transition to a live environment.
- Develop a deep understanding of key business and market processes.
- Provide functional support for business applications, and if necessary, support the day-to-day operation of business applications and resolution of critical incidents.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and key business stakeholders to support planning, scheduling, and delivery of the application work program, including user acceptance testing, user training, and business readiness.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Possess a Third-level degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Demonstrate a track record of 2+ years in writing Requirements Specs and defining use cases, with a proven ability to interact with software developers to create solutions for complex business problems.
- Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
- Self-driven and results-focused individual comfortable with making decisions.
