Are you an experienced Data Scientist with a passion for Machine Learning and strong knowledge in Python, SQL and the creation of complex ML models using different techniques? Are you looking to progress into a Senior or Lead position with a company that offer excellent career progression opportunities? 

Stelfox is delighted to be partnering with Legato Health Technologies, an ambitious and forward thinking U.S Healthcare Tech provider who have opened their Technology Centre of Excellence in Limerick. Their plan is to grow to around 120 experienced professionals over the next 6-12 months with a focus on Data, ML and AI for the good of the company and their customers. Eventually becoming the main European HQ on new R&D and technology initiatives in the future as well as delivery existing Global BAU programs of work from Limerick.

Your role will involve

As a Senior Data Scientist you will be responsible for the development and implementation of predictive modelling algorithms and techniques with moderate complexity, including but not limited to:

  • Execution of algorithms to address specific business problems under direction of team lead or manager.
  • Work with datasets of moderate size and complexity.
  • Develop visualization of analysis output for business users and publish results 

What you need:

Preferred experience

  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Physics, Biostatistics or related Quantitative disciplines.
  • 4 or more years’ experience in predictive analytics or equivalent;
  • Must be technically confident and experienced in both Python and SQL
  • Must have experience in the end to end creation of predictive models (Boosting algorithms, Ensemble methods, etc.)
  • Commercial experience in both supervised and unsupervised predictive models
  • Knowledge of distributed computing environment, such as Hadoop. 
  • Experience in Hive, Impala or Apache Spark is preferred.
