Stelfox is working closely with a financial technology company who provide a quantitative financial risk intelligence platform to enterprise customers globally.
We are looking to recruit a Lead / Director in Product Management to focus on owning the horizontal platform layer that underpins all the products that get delivered to customers. This is a hands-on leadership role, meaning you will set product platform direction, evolve/develop the team and get involved when it matters (not an ivory tower product leader).
Some core responsibilities will include:
- Own the platform roadmap - balancing short-term delivery against long-term re-architecture.
- Drive alignment between engineering and cross functional product teams on sequencing & tradeoffs.
- Own product direction for capabilities such as data layer, API ecosystem, authentication & permissions and developer-facing infrastructure.
- Define what good looks like in the team and hold accountability for getting there without crossing the engineering lane on implementation decisions.
- Drive measurable outcomes / improvements across the platform
- Champion the experience/UX for anyone who depends on this platform - internal teams, suppliers, enterprise integrators/partners and operations.
- Partner with engineering, Data science, operations and customer success to ensure the platform is understood, trusted and adopted across the organisation.
What does your experience look like?
- 8-10 years in product management, with 2-3 years minimum in a platform or developer-facing product management roles in B2B SaaS / Software environment.
- Strong understanding of platform fundamentials - APIs, data architecture, authentication and integration patterns.
- Lead by example, this is a director / management role that leads by example and who is hands-on with their team.
- AI fluency - you are proactively exploring and using AI tools day-to-day or looking for ways to build AI-powered products or tools that enhance capability - Claude code or AI-assisted productivity tools.
- Comfortable in ambiguity as you help shape future direction.
- Excellent communicator who working between business stakeholders and engineers to define business prioritises.
- Preference working in an Enterprise B2B environment with a data-intensive platform.
