Stelfox Strategic Search are continuing our exclusive partnership with a successful high growth Software Product client who are building out the next phase of their Software Engineering HQ in Dublin city centre.

This new Dublin office will be at the forefront of the company’s future growth and further development of their Automation & Orchestration framework used by Global Industry leaders such as NTT, Fujitsu, Vodafone and similar.

We are working closely with the Global VP of Engineering who is looking to add a talented Java Architect to work closely with him on re-architecting the product line to avail of modern software development approaches & tooling.

In the role, you will initially lead the migration of all their API’s onto Restful Architecture to consolidate the existing API’s based on SOAP & EJB.  The next phase will be to design and help to implement a micro service based approach to their orchestration platform using the latest standards and DevOps technologies available (Java8, Docker, Openstack, ELK stack and much more).

You will play a key role in the company’s new Architecture committee, redesigning and rebuilding their complex software application to keep up with the huge demand for the platform.
It’s a rare chance to get involved in the early stages of a project and leave your mark as one of the first hires in the Dublin Team.

What you need:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Senior Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer / Architect, designing and developing complex commercial software
  • Expert Backend Java programming experience, especially developing APIs using REST,SOAP, and EJBs.
  • Experience with DevOps tooling such Docker, Kubernetes or Puppet is a big plus
  • Experience designing and implementing Micro-services based architecture is highly desirable
  • An advocate of the open source and DevOps movements
  • A big believer in using best practices, code quality and testing
  • Team-player, comfortable working in a multicultural distributed team
