Our client believes in an Open Source, Mobile & API first approach when building their solutions and are utilising the following approaches as part of their modern technology stack: Cloud-Native, Microservices, Orchestration, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Automation, API-Driven, Machine Learning, etc.
As a global “remote-first” company, they currently employ 85 staff operating from all corners of the world, including Lebanon, Nigeria, Brazil, Russia, the U.K., Spain, France, Poland, etc.
They are currently hiring for a new Senior Back-End Engineer to join their talented team helping to revolutionise financial services globally. Here the Engineer will be working on industry-defining projects, creating new products, features, and services from scratch, and solving advanced business problems through innovative technology.
Role Overview:
- Design and deliver APIs and back-end services to the highest standards of software quality based on business and technical requirements
- Take ownership of parts of the system and maintain, repair, or enhance them as needed
- Work closely with other development teams and product teams to deliver new features
What you need:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, and an understanding of the practices covering the entire software development lifecycle
- 2+ years of recent commercial experience with Go/ Golang and its best practices
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Redis, etc.), messaging services (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.), and Unix-like environments
- An understanding of the importance of a well-organized codebase and documentation
- Highly self-organized and interested in taking over ownership of part of the system to bring the best solution to the team
- Experience with Docker is considered a plus
- Strong analytical skills and open-minded and creative team player
- Comfortable working in a remote working team setting with colleagues in other locations
