Our client is a global provider of Tax Consulting Services that has prepared over 720 million tax returns since 1955. With over 12,000 retail offices globally, our client also processes 7.5 million tax returns annually through their popular online service.

With an established Tech Hub based in Dublin 2, the company is currently embarking on an exciting development project to standardize UI Automation Testing, building a new internal Test Framework that will be used by 100+ Software engineers across the business. This is a vital development project, that will be utilised company-wide, and will help drive our client’s move towards a modern DevOps environment. 

Our client is currently hiring for a Senior Software Developer to join their distributed, cross-functional team, responsible for designing, building, and implementing cost-effective solutions using the latest Microsoft technologies. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Developing frameworks and applications to assist in the automated testing of a digital tax engine and customer-facing products
  • Delivering robust, scalable code in a timely fashion
  • Working closely with Architects to oversee the design of features and complex development requirements
  • Adhering to high-quality coding standards and ensuring product code and artifacts are managed according to guidelines
  • Contributing to team meetings and coordinating schedules and activities 
  • Sharing expertise across the organization and mentoring other engineers on a regular basis

What you need:

  • Degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer building and delivering scalable solutions
  • Expertise with C#, .NET Core, Dependency Injection (SImpleInjector, Castle Window, NInect, Spring, Unity, etc), Azure / AWS, REST/ SOAP Web Services, Test Automation tools (Selenium, Appium, Bogus, FakeitEasy, RestSharp, HttpClient, Newtonsoft, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and implementing software best practices 
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development and working in an Agile team 
  • Solid knowledge of TypeScript/ Angular/ HTML5/ CSS3 is highly desirable
  • Proven abilities in collaborating with other team members and providing guidance when needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
