Senior Software Engineer(.Net)

Our exclusive client provides Information & Risk Management services to large corporate customers across financial services, defense/security, and retail industries.

The company established a Dublin-based Software Engineering Hub in 2020 and is continuing to extend its services across Europe, having also recently established a new entity in Holland. 

Our client is continuing to build out its Dublin engineering function and is now actively seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to become a key member of a small quality-driven software engineering team, responsible for supporting & evolving its web-based management systems.

Tech stack includes: C#, .Net Core, Azure DevOps, with a combination of Typescript, with React.js on the frontend.

Responsibilities

• Design, Develop and implement any new features or enhancements for web-based applications and systems.
• Elaborate and define requirements together with stakeholders, product team, and analysts.
• Produce technical specifications were necessary for any new features, change requests, or application enhancements required.
• Coach and support more junior developers through code reviews and the oversight and continuous enhancement of appropriate standards and processes.
• Embrace agile practices and follow modern principles to ensure high quality, clean, well-tested, and extendable code.
• Contribute ideas to the improvement and continuous evolution of all IT and software for my client and their customers.
• Participate in daily scrum stand-up with your peers to ensure a culture of transparency, collaboration, and inclusiveness.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, ICT, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial software development experience within a software product environment.
• Expert level of proficiency in C# and DotNet Core.
• Strong grasp of object-orientated programming (OOP) and Design patterns.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).
• Experience working with Relational database systems like PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms, AWS is also preferred.
• Knowledge/experience of container technologies (Docker / Kubernetes).
• Team Player who appreciates strong communication and collaboration when working with peers.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of the importance of clean, clear, and maintainable code.
• Experience working with microservices, Web API, and Restful services is an advantage
• Experience working with Javascript frameworks such as React, Typescript, or Javascript ES6 is an advantage.
