We are looking for a talented developer to work in the Balance Sheet Capital Management team in Dublin. This team is part of a wider international Development group, who are responsible for some of the most significant risk projects in one of the largest banks in the world.

This role is well suited to a strong developer with 3+ years of applicable experience and a good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.  In addition, any previous experience of Netezza databases and Informatica ETL would be highly beneficial.

This exciting role, based in our Dublin office, is well suited to strong developers with a keen interest in new technologies and investment banking. The candidate will work in the Balance Sheet Capital Management team and will be contributing to some of the most significant risk projects in the organisation in a highly agile environment. The successful candidate will work in a global team with colleagues in Ireland, the UK, India and the US

As an SQL Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Developing new workflow components for Capital Management system
  • Ensuring department development standards are adhered to
  • Participating in daily scrums, backlog grooming meetings, and sprint planning meetings
  • Working closely with Product Owner to understand requirements and ensure requests are implemented.

What you need:

  • ANSI SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL,etc). Experience with developing on the Netezza platform is highly preferred
  • Experience developing Informatica ETL on PowerCenter Workflow manager tool
  • Query Optimization strategies
  • ETL Development
  1. Experience with working with data sets from multiple sources (Oracle, Netezza, Teradata, SQL Server, etc.)
  2. Experience with complex transformations including Unions, Routers, Normalizers, and custom calculated fields
  3. Slowly Changing Dimensions
  • Proficient in Data Warehousing concepts
  1. Star/Snowflake schemas
  2. Dimensional tables (Type 1, Type 2)
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience working at Financial Institutions is preferred
  • Experience in banking/finance sector desired but not essential
