Software Engineering Manager – eCommerce Analytics environment

Stelfox has partnered with a world-leading eCommerce Analytics platform company that delivers accurate and actionable sales-driven data insights to global brands and retailers such as L’Oréal, Nestlé, and Adidas. 

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to oversee and advise several engineering teams responsible for developing innovative product features and technical solutions that meet customer needs.

Reporting directly to the Director of Software Engineering,  the Software Engineering Manager is responsible for building and managing cross-functional, high-performance, development teams in an agile environment. Each team consists of a Product Owner, Java/ Ruby Engineers, QA & DevOps Engineers. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Plan & manage individuals’ career growth, personal development, performing regular 1-2-1’s, performance reviews, etc.
• Develop teams to achieve high levels of performance and productivity, advocating software engineering best practices, processes, and guidelines 
• Define and implement a robust technical roadmap for your teams 
• Collaborate with Dir. of Engineering, Program Managers, and Architect on the future technical direction of the business, technology stack, etc. 

What you need:

• Relevant technical degree
• Min. 2 years recent experience managing high-performing software engineering teams
• Proven track record in leading teams building and delivering modern microservices systems 
• Previous experience working as a “hands-on” software engineer
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Successful track record in hiring great people for your team
