Our client is a leading and prominent Irish residential property development company specialising in the design, construction, and sale of high-quality residential properties, including houses and apartments, primarily in the greater Dublin area and other key urban centres in Ireland.

The business currently has a unique opportunity available for a high-performing Technical Coordinator to join the team and support a Technical Manager to coordinate the overall management of pre-construction design projects.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Responsible for the design and technical aspects of projects; managing and coordinating technical information.
  • Advise & brief external consultants and subcontractors on timescales and budgets.
  • Coordinate design team meetings/Workshops and recording minutes.
  • Chair Design Workshops where you will advocate product quality, focusing on delivering design excellence.
  • Organise briefings and present to various internal teams for input.
  • Develop Design Guidance Drawings and information booklets to brief design teams.
  • Manage Design Guidance information and issue example design packages to consultants.
  • Liaise with the in-house design and planning teams to give technical guidance.
  • Keeping abreast of new innovative products, practices and build methods.
  • Resolve day to day problems as they arise by preparing solutions and, where appropriate liaising with the technical manager and project manager for approval.

What you’ll need…

  • Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in residential architecture.
  • Prior experience working as a residential developer a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge & skillset in the key principles of design detailing & construction methods
  • Knowledge and experience of Timber Frame Design and Construction desirable
  • Appreciation of the benefits and drivers of customer lead housing.
  • Ability to travel between sites across Dublin. Full driving licence is required.
  • Proficient in CAD and sketch design.
  • Excellent working knowledge of latest Building Regulations and certification standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail attention and be accurate with ability to take a practical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate with all levels across the business.
