My client a global media company is looking for a Technical Project manager on a 6-month daily rate contract, this role will involve working with the Product Department to ensure development team have all assets and requirements to execute projects on schedule

The ideal candidate will have come from a technical role and moved into a Project Management/Scrum Master Role

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Development team leaders to ensure that scope is clear and that project blockers and issues are raised and addressed as early as possible
  • Work closely with co-located teams as well as remote team members in different geographical locations and time zones to ensure that projects remain on time and on budget, with clear communication among stakeholders
  • Apply and champion agile methodologies with the design and development teams. This includes daily standups, estimation, planning, refinement and retrospectives
  • Track and report on all project streams to ensure stakeholders are aligned and that team members remain motivated to achieve project goals
  • Monitor project status on a daily basis by attending daily stand-ups and by talking directly with Developers, QA Engineers and Product Managers
  • Work directly with ITOps regarding deployment and release plans, and attend a weekly meeting to plan/organise resourcing for projects
  • Attend a weekly release meeting, and work on release plans with other team leads to ensure there are no conflicts
  • Report weekly project status and upcoming projects to the executive team.
  • Liaise between Marketplace Growth Team and development teams on upcoming ideas and initiatives
  • Liaise directly with Business stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are being addressed in project deliverables

What you need:

  • 5+ years working as a Technical Project Manager
  • Agile / Scrum experience, managing and configuring Scrum/Kanban boards
  • Ability to take ownership of the entire software delivery process
  • Experience of working with JIRA
  • Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage stakeholders with very different backgrounds
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
