Our global client develops and commercializes fleet management solutions for the transport and logistics sector.
They are the No.1 global supplier of technologies and services that improve the safety, efficiency, and connectivity of commercial vehicles.
Part of a multinational organisation with over 40,000 employees, our client has an established local R&D centre in Dublin city that specializes in building new software solutions and products to advance their existing Trailer & Cargo technology.
Here, the product engineering team consists of developers and designers building and delivering responsive, large-scale, data-centric web applications.
Our client is now hiring for a “hands-on” UI/Front-End Technical Lead with a flair for User Experience and recent experience in leading/ coaching/ guiding a small team of developers.
As Technical Lead, you will be part of a small highly skilled development team designing and building new UI solutions using the latest JavaScript frameworks including React.js.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team (currently 2 Front-End Developers) in the delivery of core UI solutions for a next-generation IoT platform
- Coach and guide developers to enhance their technical and soft skills – identifying and addressing any technical knowledge gaps
- Design, develop, maintain and enhance responsive client-side web applications
- Advocate software development methodologies such as Scrum / Kanban
- Work closely with Product Management to build innovative products from POC to production
What you need:
- BSc./ MSc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in front-end development creating world-class solutions
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and modern JavaScript Frameworks – must have at least 2 years React.js experience
- Advanced knowledge of HTML & CSS
- Working knowledge of ES6/ TypeScript
- Strong knowledge of responsive UI development
- Comfortable following Agile development methodologies
- Experience with cross-browser/ cross-platform compatibility
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
