Cyber Security Analyst - 12-month rolling contract (Daily rates) - Flexible remote (Ireland)
At one point or another we have all been exposed to cybersecurity issues. Phishing, spoofing, trojan attacks and password attacks are some of the different methods bad actors can use when trying to infiltrate your network and steal personal data/ information belonging to you.
Many large organisations have fallen foul to cyber attacks - Yahoo & Adobe come to mind. You have most likely worked in organisations that were reactive to implementing cybersecurity best practices. Wouldn't it be nice to be part of an organisation who are proactive in their approach to cybersecurity?
In this position, you would work with a distributed team across Ireland, USA & India with a focus on co-ordinating and executing IT security projects across multiple locations. You would be given ample R&D time to research new, innovative methods to manage the latest security issues for cloud enabled enterprises.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Experience handling security incidents as reported by individuals and automated systems on laptops/ mobile devices.
- Ability to monitor compliance with IT security policies and applicable law.
- Familiarity with investigations of root cause for security incidents and reporting of same to Network, Systems and applications.
- Experience collaborating with a global security team on server and/ or cloud-service provider forensics.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/ BSc. in Comp. Science, Mgmt. Information Systems or related field.
- CISSP, GIAC or other relevant security certs desired.
- Demonstrated knowledge & experience of information security standards (eg. ISO 17799/ 27002) and data confidentiality (eg. FERPA or HIPAA).
