Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week)
Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract (Long-Term Opportunity)

Rate: Competitive Daily Rate

Stelfox is hiring a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer on behalf of one of our leading clients based in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-native infrastructure that powers the next generation of digital applications.

You’ll play a key role in designing and automating secure, scalable, and resilient AWS environments, collaborating closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver best-in-class cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure for mission-critical applications.
Automate deployment, observability, and compliance processes using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Champion DevSecOps practices by embedding security into the platform lifecycle.
Collaborate with SREs, developers, and security teams to drive platform reliability and performance.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.
Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years in software/platform/SRE roles, with 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation.
Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Go, or Shell).
Deep understanding of AWS networking, IAM, governance, and cloud security.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (EKS/Kubernetes).
Familiarity with GitOps workflows and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, etc.).
Prior experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services or fintech).
Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, encryption, and KMS.
