Job description

Senior Python Developer – Contract Role

Stelfox is partnering with a leading Dublin-based client undergoing rapid team expansion. We are seeking multiple experienced Senior Python Developers to join on a contract basis and contribute to high-impact, agile-driven projects.

Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling (Long-Term Opportunity)

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)

Rate: Competitive Daily Rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver intuitive features.
  • Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python.
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Optimise application performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Strong proficiency in Flask and Django frameworks.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible.
  • Comfortable working in Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Agile development experience with excellent communication skills.
