Solution Architect – Contract Role

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week)

Contract: Initial 6 months (with potential extension)

Stelfox is seeking an experienced Solution Architect for one of our leading clients based in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient architectures across cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver robust architectures aligned with business and IT strategy.
• Utilise Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Containers, App Service, Azure SQL, etc.) to build scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Data & Analytics, and Development teams to define cloud solutions.
• Produce clear, well-structured documentation for system components, interfaces, and data flows.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance business capability and competitiveness.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
• Conduct architecture reviews to identify improvements and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with technology strategy, principles, and security standards.

Experience & skills

• 5–7 years in an architecture role, with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud.
• TOGAF, Zachman, or similar architecture certifications.
• Proven track record in solution design and technical leadership.
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
• Azure Cloud Architect certification (desirable).
• Deep knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Broad understanding of Application Integration, Data Platforms, Infrastructure, Networks, and AI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
