Data Architect – Contract Role

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week)

Contract: Initial 6 months (with potential extension)

Start Date: End of February / Early March

Stelfox is seeking an experienced Data Architect for one of our leading clients based in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead design and implementation of enterprise data architecture (Azure, Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory).
Enable AI/ML workflows and MLOps integration.
Define platform strategy, governance, and best practices.
Engage stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
Drive innovation, security, compliance (GDPR), and cost optimisation.
Mentor data engineers and analysts.

Skills & Experience:

Expertise in Azure data services (Databricks, Data Lake Gen2, Data Factory).
Strong knowledge of Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, PySpark, and SQL.
Experience with AI/ML workflows and data governance.
Proficiency in ETL/ELT, data modelling, CI/CD, and DevOps tools.
Familiarity with Power BI, GitHub, Azure DevOps/Jira.
Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Certifications in Azure Architecture and Databricks.
Aviation, IoT, or geospatial data experience is a plus.
