DevOps Engineer (Kafka) x2 – Contract Roles

Location: Dublin (3 days/week on-site)
Contract: 6-Month Rolling

Stelfox is hiring on behalf of a leading client in Dublin who is urgently seeking two skilled DevOps Engineers to join their team on a contract basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure and automation projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and operate messaging systems, including Apache Kafka, NATS, and MQ
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Go, Java, or Bash
• Monitor system health using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux/Unix systems
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Work with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Diagnose production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure infrastructure security and compliance (SOC 2, GDPR)

Required Skills

• Primary: Kafka, Jenkins, Chef, Scripting, SRE, Splunk, Dynatrace (or similar)
• Secondary: Git, XLR (XL Release)
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS)
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
• Familiarity with incident management tools (e.g., PagerDuty)
• Knowledge of secure configuration and secrets management (e.g., Vault)
