Java Lead / Architect – Contract Opportunity
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (non-negotiable)
Contract: Initial 6-month term (rolling / long-term opportunity)
Rate: Competitive Daily Rate
Stelfox is hiring an experienced Java Lead / Architect for a contract role in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work on strategic, enterprise-scale initiatives within a fast-paced, collaborative global environment.
You will play a key leadership role across the full project lifecycle — from architectural design and technical direction through to hands-on development and execution. The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design of enterprise-grade Java applications
- Drive delivery from project inception through to completion
- Provide hands-on technical leadership within Agile teams
- Contribute to microservices and container-based architectures
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions
- Ensure best practices across development, configuration management, and deployment
Required Experience
- 8+ years of Java development experience
- Strong expertise in Core Java, JEE, and Spring
- Experience with containers and/or microservices architectures
- Proven track record delivering complex projects in Agile environments (5–10 years’ experience preferred)
- Experience with software configuration management tools (e.g., Bitbucket)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and proactively
