Job title: Senior Python Engineer

Location: Dublin

My clients company specializes in the Fintech sector. They are looking for a talented Senior Python Engineer to join their ever growing team. You will be working on building RESTful APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and robust software applications using Python and Django framework.
• Architect and implement data models, APIs, and backend services to support their SaaS platform.
• Leverage PostgreSQL and other database technologies for efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive continuous improvement through agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

What your background should be:

• Proven experience in software development, with expertise in Python, Django, and PostgreSQL as well as a strong understanding of cloud computing principles
• Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) would be nice but not a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
• Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) products is a plus.
