Senior QA Engineer

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Python, Playright & Selenium

 Cork City - Hybrid (1-2 times per month)

We’re looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join a growing fintech team focused on delivering robust, compliant, and intelligent software solutions, if you have led projects & mentored QAs in the past and want to take your career to the next level, then this is the role for you.

As Senior QA Engineer, you will own the quality strategy for key modules. You’ll build automation frameworks, refine their CI/CD quality gates, and partner with developers across Python, PostgreSQL, and React/Chakra UI services.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a comprehensive QA strategy spanning functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Build and extend automated test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress) integrated into their CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate closely with developers to design testable features and resolve defects early.
• Perform exploratory and edge-case testing for AI/LLM modules, ensuring explainability and data-privacy compliance.
• Monitor test results and quality metrics, providing clear reports to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and help foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA or software-test engineering experience, including test automation and CI/CD integration.
• Strong scripting ability in Python and familiarity with modern test tools (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, databases (PostgreSQL), and cloud-native environments (AWS/Azure).
• Experience testing React-based UIs and modern component libraries.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work across time zones.
