Technical Product Manager

A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced Technical Product Manager with strong SQL/database skills to take ownership of reporting initiatives across a broad product portfolio.

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Own and shape the product reporting strategy and roadmap across multiple product lines.
  • Define and implement KPI frameworks and performance metrics aligned with product goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable technical specs.
  • Build and manage dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze and optimize existing database structures, views, and stored procedures.
  • Partner with engineering teams to guide database design and reporting architecture.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems.
  • Act as a technical liaison between product, engineering, and business teams.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prioritize development features based on impact, feasibility, and product vision.
  • Track reporting performance and lead continuous improvement efforts.

 

What You Bring:

 

  • 3+ years in technical product management or a related data-focused product role.
  • Deep knowledge of SQL - including query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of database architecture (views, stored procedures, indexing, data modeling).
  • Hands-on experience with analytics or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with data warehouse and ETL concepts.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with a solid grasp of product development lifecycles.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead without direct authority.

 

Bonus Points For:

 

  • Background in cloud-based platforms (especially Azure).
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and A/B testing.
  • Experience working in SaaS or high-growth tech environments.
