Stelfox is partnering with an international BP provider who is gradually building an IT technology hub from Galway.
The company service global tier 1 enterprise clients who rely on their contact centre solutions as well as other outsourced functions for day-to-day operations via multiple delivery locations.
As an international player, the company build & run multiple datacentres and interconnected networks and general IT infrastructure that operate a 24x7x365 global contact centre solution and other back-office services/solutions on behalf of customers.
We are looking for a strategic IT procurement lead with the following attributes for our new technology hub in Ireland (Galway):
- Deep understanding of infrastructure licensing models (VMware, Microsoft, Fortinet, Nutanix, etc.)
- Experience negotiating enterprise agreements with software and hardware vendors, especially in compliance-heavy environments (PCI, SOC2, ISO)
- Proven ability to spot vendor lock-in, licensing traps, and fine-print gotchas
- Comfortable handling multi-country procurement and VAT structuring (esp. Ireland, South Africa, UAE, Kenya)
- Familiar with cloud contract optimization (AWS, Azure, GCP) and true-up strategies
- Experience dealing with resellers, CSPs, and VARs - knows when they add value vs. when they're a margin drag
- Can drive commercial strategy, not just execution - ideally has owned vendor risk scoring or cost consolidation initiatives
- Tech-literate, understands infrastructure at a high level (hypervisors, networking, endpoints, backup, etc.)
Bonus points if you have:
- Previously worked at or negotiated against vendors like Broadcom, VMware, Dell, SoftwareONE, or AWS
- Have migrated off VMware or helped standardize cloud-native or open-source alternatives
- Have worked inside a BPO, telco, or bank, where vendor bloat is common, and compliance is strict
