Web UI Developer – Contracting role

Stelfox is looking for a skilled Web UI Developer to join one of our clients’ Technology teams based in Dublin

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge web UI solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about modern web technologies and eager to build innovative user interfaces that support critical risk management functions.

6-month initial contract term, rolling / long-term contract

Competitive daily rate

Hybrid, with three days on-site and two days remote each week

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop intuitive and responsive web UI solutions to address complex business challenges.
  • Maintain and enhance a library of reusable UI components, ensuring consistency and scalability across applications.
  • Collaborate closely with business users, analysts, and fellow developers to craft user experiences that are both functional and user-centric.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector is a strong advantage

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of UX principles and responsive UI design, with a focus on usability and user experience
  • Proven ability to write standards-compliant, high-performance code optimized for flexibility and scalability, with a focus on IE and Chrome compatibility
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3
  • Hands-on experience with the React JavaScript library
  • Expertise in modern front-end development using technologies such as:
  • CSS pre-processors (e.g., Sass or Less)
  • Module bundlers like Webpack
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and assertion libraries such as Jest
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
