Senior Test Automation Engineer in Python – Contracting role
Stelfox is looking for a skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer in Python for one of our clients based in Dublin
6-month initial contract term, rolling / long-term contract
Competitive daily rate
Hybrid, with three days on-site and two days remote each week
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks.
- Develop and maintain automated tests across UI, backend, and E2E layers.
- Work with Python, Selenium, BDD (Cucumber/Behave), and REST API testing tools.
- Collaborate in Agile teams, promoting TDD and clean, maintainable code.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s/master’s in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years in test automation with strong Python experience.
- Proficient in tools like Selenium, JUnit, Git, SQL, and CI/CD (Jenkins, OpenShift).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- ISTQB/ISEB certification
- Experience with Java-based automation
- Strong understanding of SDLC best practices
- Languages: Python
- Frameworks: Selenium, BDD (Cucumber/Behave), Hybrid
- API Testing: REST, Postman, Rest Assured
- CI/CD: Jenkins, Ansible, OpenShift
- Tools: Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, ALM, qTest
