Solution Architect – Contract Role

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 days on-site / 2 days remote)

Contract: Initial 6 months, with potential for extension

Stelfox is partnering with a leading organisation in Dublin to recruit an experienced Solution Architect for a high-impact contract role. This position offers the opportunity to design and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across cloud and on-prem environments, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver robust, scalable architectures aligned to business and technology strategy
Leverage Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Containers, App Service, Azure SQL, etc.) to build cloud-native solutions
Create clear, well-structured architecture documentation covering systems, interfaces, and data flows
Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Data & Analytics, and Development teams to define and evolve cloud architectures
Engage with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional business requirements
Conduct architecture reviews to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance capability, performance, and competitiveness
Ensure all solutions comply with architectural principles, security standards, and technology strategy

Experience & Skills

5–7 years’ experience in an architecture role, including at least 3 years focused on Azure
Broad understanding of application integration, data platforms, infrastructure, networking, and AI
Strong expertise across Azure IaaS and PaaS services
Proven experience in solution design and technical leadership
TOGAF, Zachman, or similar architecture framework certification
Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline
Azure Cloud Architect certification (desirable)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
